Do you Grow a Garden? How About Inviting the FEDs Over to Inspect it and require you to File Paperwork? H.R. 875

Oppose H.R. 875, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009

H.R. 875  To establish the Food Safety Administration within the Department of Health and Human Services to protect the public health by preventing food-borne illness, ensuring the safety of food, improving research on contaminants leading to food-borne illness, and improving security of food from intentional contamination, and for other purposes.

Sounds like a good needed piece of legislation meant to protect us from food contaminants right?  WRONG.  This piece of legislation will ultimately transfer powers of each state to govern it's local food production to the FED Government and creates another huge Bureaucracy that can even govern us as individuals.

For example: One of the "definitions" of a food production facility to be governed (included extensive record keeping and governmental inspections, screenings, etc.)  defines a food production facility to  be any........."any farm, ranch, orchard, vineyard, aquaculture facility, or confined animal-feeding operation"

Write Congress and tell them to Oppose this bill.   Our individual states can handle the problems without complicating things worse by involving  the FEDS.

We definitely need more people like you who go into the nitty gritty details and bring out into the open the hidden agendas that the government policies subtly imply. It is so pathetic that those who rule us want us to be so under their control that they have to even control even the way we plant a tree. Maybe they will soon come up with what should be eaten at, what time! All under the pretext of what’s best for us.
