We must unite

If we (Republicans) are to defeat the democrats in this election then, we must be united and come full force against the Democrats.  Romney has the majority of the Conservative Republican vote.  (Personally, I think he would have been….maybe will be J one of the best President's our country would have known, probably right up there with Lincoln, and Washington.)

Regardless of his faults, McCain is almost without doubt the GOP presidential nominee.

I think if he very soon announced Mitt Romney as his running mate that conservatives would rally around the McCain/Romney ticket and immediately gear up for the fight to defeat the Democratic nominee in November.

I don't understand America anymore. All I keep hearing is how Republicans are back-lashing against McCain and don't agree with his record and don't want him to be our candidate, and yet he is somehow winning state after state in this primary. This site is supposed to be about uniting the GOP, but let's face it, there is no way the GOP will unite behind John McCain because John McCain has never been united with Republican principles and ideals. John McCain is a unstable in both his military and domestic policies. He is NOT a true conservative. So, if McCain wins the Republican primary, it'll be a disgrace to the party. Does anyone else get the feeling that there are masses of people registered as Republicans for the sole purpose of sabotaging our primary electoral process? This is ridiculous! If you're not a Republican or are some weather vane moderate, register as an Independent or go start your own party. BTW, if McCain wins the primary, I will not vote in the general election.

Brian, It is amazing how leftist principles have infiltrated the Republican party this election. It is showing up in the vote. It is time for the true conservative to rise to the challenge and defend those principles and take back our party.

    Hey,
I love this..a blog where the people cannot degrade each other or get their blog removed!! Yes!! I am all for getting Romney back on the ticket in any way shape or form. I do not think, however that he would "settle" for a VP spot after all the dirty tricks taht have been pulled on him..even the WV thing by McCain. He said himself "I ahte to lose" and I don't blame him. If he were humbled enough to be McCains VP I would be on the street tomorrow with a McCain sign in hand. But, like I said..I don't think that is gonna happen.

      Hey Shannon,
Thanks for the comments.  We all know Romney is humble enough.  The question would be is McCain?  Does he REALLY want to unite the GOP like he said.  He would have to eat some humble pie and start by picking Romney to get any respect from me and I think millions of other conservatives.

        Hey Unite, and everyone else,

I am sure that everyone here is against McCain because of his liberal voting record. THEREFORE. . . .you should go to gopusalist1@gopusa.com and read an article by Thomas Segel. He talks about how the conservatives need to insist that the Republican party start adhering to it's conservative base in it's policies.

There is a petition there for you to sign which asks ALL of the Republican candidates to sign a pledge to adhere to the principles of the Republican Party. ESPECIALLY MCCAIN!!

It's an excellent article, and I sure would like to see a lot more signatures on it.

I live in Washington and Mitt got 17% of our vote even though he is no longer on the ballot...he can still win, which is why he didn't quit..only suspended his bid.

    Hey Shannon and all,
We need to get more people to come to this website and really get the ball rolling. Let all your friends and family that love Romney like we do know about it.
And folks, I hate to sound like a broken record, but I am still praying for a brokered convention where Romney is put on the ballot as the Presidential nominee!! That's why people who still have primaries need to keep voting for him.

    Hey Brian,
I heard on the news that in one state Democrats were registering as Independents so that they could vote for McCain. I think that happened in a lot of states , which is probably the only reason Romney was not ahead or at least even after Super Tuesday. Notice Huckabee only started winning states after Romney withdrew.
I think right up until the end, many democrats are registering and voting for McCain. Otherwise I don't think he could be winning. I have been puzzled all along about his winning so much. I know in FL, the Gov. endorsed him, but I still did not expect him to win, because I did not personally know anyone who wanted him.
By the way, I live in Florida and I won't be voting for our Gov. in the next election.

McCain was not my man and will not be my man. I was shocked to see Romney endorsed him. But after how he gracefully set aside for the good of the party, I could see him trying to help McCain and get rid of Huck so that we could try and battle Obama and Hillary. Hopefully Hillary would get it easier task. But we need to get Romney on the Ticket then I would go out and Help with McCain but anyone else and I will not help at all.

Did anyone notice in Mitt's endorsement speech that he was planning on campaigning for McCain around the country.
